At Eco Lawn Of Utah County, we split up our fertilization & weed control programs into three zones to meet the unique needs of each area that we service:
During the growing season, we visit your home on a four to six-week basis to apply nutrients to your lawn and to take care of any weeds.
Our company uses superior products that cause minimal environmental impact and our technicians spot-spray weeds whenever possible. Not all of our products are organic, but everything we do centers around establishing a truly healthy lawn with your family and pets in mind. Many lawn care companies simply drench the grass with cheap weed control and nitrogen that can sterilize the soil and contaminate our water supply. We stand firmly against those practices.
Let us help improve the health and beauty of your flower beds. We use only 100% organic fertilizers, compost teas, soil amendments in our treatments. Our products produce healthy flowerbeds and shrubbery while invigorating the soil to build plants that are robust and pop with color.
You’ll notice your plants have less fungal diseases because our organic foliar spray protects your plants from disease. You’ll also observe your plants are healthier, stronger, and more resilient to fight off potential threats.
Eco Lawn offers a plant fertilization program for your flowers, plants, and ornamental shrubs. Our highly-trained technicians will come out 4 times a season to apply high-quality, organic fertilizers and soil amendments infused with compost and micronutrients to your flowers, plants, and shrubs.
*This program can be bundled with the garden weed control program at a heavily discounted price.
At Ecolawn, we start your noxious weed control program by assessing the extent of noxious weeds on your property and form a long-range plan to reduce noxious weeds from your property. Homeowners can upload pictures of their weed problems to our customer service web site for an even quicker evaluation.
We’ll visit two to three times throughout the season (depending on the severity of the infestation), walk your property and spray the weeds, working to eliminate noxious weeds from the area. We’ll also coach you in best management practices to help in the fight to keep noxious weeds off your property. We provide noxious weed control services to residential properties, local governments, HOAs, property management companies.
A noxious weed is a plant that the government has designated as harmful to crops, animals, habitats, or entire ecosystems. Many are invasive. They choke out native plants and crops, ruin trails and recreation areas, and even poison animals. Under Rule R-68-9 Utah Noxious Weed Act, you must take action if these plants are on your property.
Noxious weeds are tricky. They come in many forms, and can be easily confused with non-noxious plants, particularly during the early stages of development. For this reason, it’s important to hire a well-trained technician. Our technicians are certified and thoroughly trained.
At Ecolawn, we’re Utah County experts on organic lawn care and natural plant health care. We take a holistic, conservative approach to organic weed control for your UT flowerbeds and landscapes. We use fully organic, OMRI-certified product to eradicate the weeds in your gardens, along your driveway, and in your sidewalks.
When it comes to spraying in your garden beds, you need a company that takes your garden as seriously as you do. You need technicians who are extremely careful and well trained. We are proud to tell you that each of our technicians is certified and rigorously trained.
5 times a season, our technicians will come out to your property and will spray the weeds in your beds with organic weed control to kill weeds like the following:

Core aeration and overseeding services are one of the best products you could invest in for your Utah County lawn. It’s low cost and gives your lawn the much-needed care to survive and thrive in Utah’s arid climate.
Since Utah County is in the mountain area, the soil is more desert/clay soil. Utah soils are very hard, and soil compaction is a reality for all Utah lawns. For our aeration services, we use an aerator to pull small plugs of soil out of the ground. Aeration opens up the soil to receive water, sunlight and oxygen.
We customize our Utah County lawn care services, including our core aeration and overseeding services, to benefit your unique lawn. We don’t employ a one-size fit all approach to lawn care.
We develop a holistic approach to lawn care that includes feeding and nurturing the soil as well as encouraging healthy lawn grass.
At Ecolawn, we use two water-saving products that draw moisture from the atmosphere and keep it locked in the soil for a longer period. Typically, gravity will pull water vapor away from the soil so it can’t percolate down deep into the ground. Plants can’t use water vapor—they take up their moisture through their root system.
Hydretain is a natural product that works against gravity by transforming water vapor into moisture droplets that the plant can absorb and translocate to the rest of the plant. Hydretain does that by acting like a magnet, drawing down water evaporation back into the soil and keeping it in the roots.
Most customers only need one application in the spring. We take appointments to apply this product in March or April. It lasts three months in the soil—getting your property through Utah County’s harsh, dry summers.

An unkempt lawn is the devil’s playground except in this case; you will have weeds growing out of control. With weeds, a major problem lies in the fact that they are pests and can hamper the growth of the plants as well as your lawn. Once they get a foothold, they can be very difficult to remove properly.
Moreover, weeds are notorious for growing quickly and for being hardy. In many cases, seeds can sit on the soil for years before germinating. The seeds can also travel distances with the wind so neighboring properties can also be affected by them. If you feel like your lawn is out of control and you just can't get rid of the weeds, get in touch with us.
Eco Lawn Of Utah County offers weed control services that are aimed at getting helping you get more control over your property. Noxious weeds are rather tricky as not only do they come in different forms, they are also difficult to identify. This is quite common when the weeds are just developing and taking root.
By the time they grow up, not only can you identify them properly, they are also hard to remove. To counter this situation, it is better to reach out to the experts as soon as possible. At Eco Lawn Of Utah County, our technicians are not only well-trained, they are also certified and knowledgeable regarding plants and weeds.
Note: Areas that have an extremely thick density of weed may require multiple treatments before you begin to see any results from them. Number of treatments will be determined after careful examination of the area.
Spring and summer are the perfect months for gardening and for all the gardening enthusiasts; Eco Lawn offers a garden weed control program. This program entails removal of weeds from around your plants and garden beds, saving you hours of unnecessary toil in the hot summer months of Utah.

Yes, we can contact you on the same day as your treatment. It is difficult to give an exact time, but our technician can contact you ahead of arrival.

A light rain will help wash products into the soil, so don't worry. If we anticipate rain, we add a sticker to our weed control products so it doesn't wash off the surface of the weeds. You can mow anytime before a treatment, and as soon as 4 hours after a treatment.
How long will it take for the weeds to die?
Weeds begin to curl and die within 2 weeks, depending on the type of weed. We offer free weed touchups if the weeds do not begin to die within this 2 week period, but please wait for 2 weeks to make sure they aren't dying. Some weeds, like spurge and clover, die especially slowly. New weeds can emerge each week, so please keep us notified of those too. If you are a new client and your lawn is full of weeds, we usually schedule the second treatment soon after the first treatment in order to get all of the weeds that didn't die the first treatment.
Can I try just one lawn treatment to start?
No. We work to improve the soil, so this requires more time to see results. We only accept clients for a full lawn program.
How will I be billed?
We will email you an invoice within 24 hours after each treatment.
How can I make payments?
Contact us and we can set up a recurring payment directly to your debit/credit card.

What can I do to make my lawn look great?
Your lawn will look best when we work together. You play a huge role in having a healthy lawn.
1.) Be educated: Read our emails, invoices, and instructions. The more you understand, the better. If you have questions, ask us!
2.) Make sure your lawn is mowed properly: mow at a height of 3-4 inches. Make sure the mower blades are sharp and do not tear out grass. During the summer, you can leave lawn clippings to help retain moisture.
3.) Water the lawn: In Utah, watering a lawn correctly is vital. For proper watering techniques, read the following answers below.
4.) Be vigilant: Keep your eyes open for brown spots, potential fungus, heat stress, or insect damage. If you notice anything weird developing, snap a picture and text it to 435-200-3261 or email it to firstname.lastname@example.org. The earlier you catch a problem, the better chance we have of stopping it before it does real damage.
My lawn is suffering from heat stress. What can I do?
1) Check your irrigation. Run a manual test during the day and watch every zone to make sure that every section of your lawn is getting covered with water. Sprinklers should be checked monthly during the season. Heads often get damaged, blocked by objects or plants, and clogged with mud.
2.) In addition to watering 3 times a week for 30-45 minutes, run your sprinklers for a few minutes in the evening to help cool down the lawn.
3) Use a Soil Conditioner treatment. We have a product called Revive which, when combined with proper watering, can help to bring back the color of your lawn.
4.) Paint it. We have a non-toxic turf paint that we can be applied to stressed areas. The paint improves the look and color of the lawn until the natural green bounces back after the summer heat.
How often should I water the lawn?
Summer - On average, 3 times a week for 30-45 minutes.
Spring/Fall - On average, 3 times a week for 20 minutes.
At what time should I water the lawn?
Any time between 2 and 7 am. The best time to water is 2 am.
When should I seed my lawn?
What kinds of seed should I use to seed my lawn
Each lawn is different, but most lawns in Utah require a Kentucky Bluegrass mix. This can be bought at any large home improvement store.
Do you aerate lawns?
We partner with a local company that helps us with aeration in the Spring and Fall. Most people prefer to do this early Spring.

My name is Robert and I'm the founder of Eco Lawn Of Utah County. I started working in lawn fertilization at age 14 in New Jersey. After a decade of work, I got tired of the sloppy environmental practices throughout the industry, and decided to start a company that would do things more responsibly. I looked around the country for a place where people were both well-informed and health-conscious, and decided the perfect place would be in Utah.
I started the company in 2011, basing everything on my belief that a lawn's ecosystem is more resilient when supported with a healthy balance of nutrients rather than being drenched with synthetic chemicals. Thanks to word-of-mouth promotion from our loyal clients, the growth of Eco Lawn has far exceeded my expectations. I'm loving it here in Utah and am excited to provide you with a healthy lawn and a safer neighborhood.
Eco Lawn is run by family and long-time family friends. We strive to have a great company culture that values our clients and our environment. An integral part of our company culture is the desire to give back to the world. In the past, we have supported clean water initiatives. Now that our small company has reached maturity, we are able to do so much more. This year, we have partnered with CharityVision to pay for eye surgeries in developing countries. As we continue to grow, we will fund a music program that teaches refugees and kids who struggle with depression and suicide. Each of Eco Lawn's charitable initiatives come from the passions of our team members. The potential to do good for the world gives us renewed enthusiasm every day.
