Noxious Weed Control
An unkempt lawn is the devil’s playground except in this case; you will have weeds growing out of control. With weeds, a major problem lies in the fact that they are pests and can hamper the growth of the plants as well as your lawn. Once they get a foothold, they can be very difficult to remove properly.
Moreover, weeds are notorious for growing quickly and for being hardy. In many cases, seeds can sit on the soil for years before germinating. The seeds can also travel distances with the wind so neighboring properties can also be affected by them. If you feel like your lawn is out of control and you just can’t get rid of the weeds, get in touch with us.
Eco Lawn Of Heber – Midway offers weed control services that are aimed at getting helping you get more control over your property. Noxious weeds are rather tricky as not only do they come in different forms, they are also difficult to identify. This is quite common when the weeds are just developing and taking root.
By the time they grow up, not only can you identify them properly, they are also hard to remove. To counter this situation, it is better to reach out to the experts as soon as possible. At Eco Lawn Of Heber – Midway, our technicians are not only well-trained, they are also certified and knowledgeable regarding plants and weeds.
Note: Areas that have an extremely thick density of weed may require multiple treatments before you begin to see any results from them. Number of treatments will be determined after careful examination of the area.
Garden Weed Control *
Spring and summer are the perfect months for gardening and for all the gardening enthusiasts; Eco Lawn offers a garden weed control program. This program entails removal of weeds from around your plants and garden beds, saving you hours of unnecessary toil in the hot summer months of Utah.
The Garden Weed Control works in two different stages: first, during the early spring months, we focus on weed pre-emergent methods. After this, each month, we spray the new grass and weeds to help get rid of them with ease. We understand how much gardeners love their garden beds and deploy the utmost care.
Our technicians are not only trained, but are also certified to work with plants and can work out the best options for you. With a focus on providing 100% satisfaction, it is no surprise that our clients love our garden weed control program. At Eco Lawn Of Heber – Midway, we are committed to giving you a pretty garden and a great experience.

Scheduling
How do I know when you are coming to treat my lawn?
We will email you at least a day in advance to let you know we are coming.
How often will you come?
Park City – 5 treatments a year (once every 4-6 weeks)
Everywhere else – 6 treatments a year (once every 4-5 weeks)
Can you NOT come on certain days?
Yes. When you sign up, tell us the specific days that we should not come. For example, “My dog sitter comes every Wednesday and spends the day outside with my dog. Please never come on Wednesdays.”
If you need to reschedule for any last-minute reason, please respond to our notification letter that we send before treatment. We will reschedule your service
We do not work on Sundays.
Do I need to be at home for treatments?
No. However, please leave your gate unlocked so we can open it. Also, be sure to keep your pets inside the house and make sure your sprinklers do not turn on in the middle of the day.
Can you text before you come?
Yes, we can contact you on the same day as your treatment. It is difficult to give an exact time, but our technician can contact you ahead of arrival.
You treated my lawn and then it rained. Is that ok?
A light rain will help wash products into the soil, so don’t worry. If we anticipate rain, we add a sticker to our weed control products so it doesn’t wash off the surface of the weeds. If very heavy rain occurs within an hour of a treatment, we will come back to check on the application’s effectiveness and do a free touch up if needed.
How long do I need to keep my pets/children off the lawn?
Wait until the treatment is dry (usually about 45 minutes).
How long do I need to wait until I can water?
Wait at least 3 hours to water your lawn after a treatment.
I have an outdoor event in a few weeks. Can you do anything for my lawn?
Yes. Let us know at least a month in advance, and we can give your lawn an extra boost.
Can I mow before or after a treatment?
You can mow anytime before a treatment, and as soon as 4 hours after a treatment.
How long will it take for the weeds to die?
Weeds begin to curl and die within 2 weeks, depending on the type of weed. We offer free weed touchups if the weeds do not begin to die within this 2 week period, but please wait for 2 weeks to make sure they aren’t dying. Some weeds, like spurge and clover, die especially slowly. New weeds can emerge each week, so please keep us notified of those too. If you are a new client and your lawn is full of weeds, we usually schedule the second treatment soon after the first treatment in order to get all of the weeds that didn’t die the first treatment.
Can I try just one lawn treatment to start?
No. We work to improve the soil, so this requires more time to see results. We only accept clients for a full lawn program.

How will I be billed?
We will email you an invoice within 24 hours after each treatment.
How can I make payments?
Contact us and we can set up a recurring payment directly to your debit/credit card.

Lawn Care
What can I do to make my lawn look great?
Your lawn will look best when we work together. You play a huge role in having a healthy lawn.
1.) Be educated: Read our emails, invoices, and instructions. The more you understand, the better. If you have questions, ask us!
2.) Make sure your lawn is mowed properly: mow at a height of 3-4 inches. Make sure the mower blades are sharp and do not tear out grass. During the summer, you can leave lawn clippings to help retain moisture.
3.) Water the lawn: In Utah, watering a lawn correctly is vital. For proper watering techniques, read the following answers below.
4.) Be vigilant: Keep your eyes open for brown spots, potential fungus, heat stress, or insect damage. If you notice anything weird developing, snap a picture and text it to 435-200-3261 or email it to info@ecolawnutah.com. The earlier you catch a problem, the better chance we have of stopping it before it does real damage.
My lawn is suffering from heat stress. What can I do?
1) Check your irrigation. Run a manual test during the day and watch every zone to make sure that every section of your lawn is getting covered with water. Sprinklers should be checked monthly during the season. Heads often get damaged, blocked by objects or plants, and clogged with mud.
2.) In addition to watering 3 times a week for 30-45 minutes, run your sprinklers for a few minutes in the evening to help cool down the lawn.
3) Use a Soil Conditioner treatment. We have a product called Revive which, when combined with proper watering, can help to bring back the color of your lawn.
4.) Paint it. We have a non-toxic turf paint that we can be applied to stressed areas. The paint improves the look and color of the lawn until the natural green bounces back after the summer heat.
How often should I water the lawn?
Summer – On average, 3 times a week for 30-45 minutes.
Spring/Fall – On average, 3 times a week for 20 minutes.
At what time should I water the lawn?
Any time between 2 and 7 am. The best time to water is 2 am.
When should I seed my lawn?
Spring:
- Wasatch Front – From mid March to the end of April
- Heber/Midway – April
- Park City – From mid April to mid May
Fall:
- Wasatch Front – Mid September to mid October
- Heber/Midway – September to mid October
- Park City – September
What kinds of seed should I use to seed my lawn
Each lawn is different, but most lawns in Utah require a Kentucky Bluegrass mix. This can be bought at any large home improvement store.
Do you aerate lawns?
We partner with a local company that helps us with aerations in the Spring and Fall. Most people prefer to do this early Spring.

About Eco Lawn Of Heber – Midway
Local, Trusted, Top Rated Heber – Midway Lawn Care Company

My name is Robert and I’m the founder of Eco Lawn Of Heber – Midway. I started working in lawn fertilization at age 14 in New Jersey. After a decade of work, I got tired of the sloppy environmental practices throughout the industry, and decided to start a company that would do things more responsibly. I looked around the country for a place where people were both well-informed and health-conscious, and decided the perfect place would be in Utah.
I started the company in 2011, basing everything on my belief that a lawn’s ecosystem is more resilient when supported with a healthy balance of nutrients rather than being drenched with synthetic chemicals. Thanks to word-of-mouth promotion from our loyal clients, the growth of Eco Lawn has far exceeded my expectations. I’m loving it here in Utah and am excited to provide you with a healthy lawn and a safer neighborhood.
Eco Lawn is run by family and long-time family friends. We strive to have a great company culture that values our clients and our environment. An integral part of our company culture is the desire to give back to the world. In the past, we have supported clean water initiatives. Now that our small company has reached maturity, we are able to do so much more. This year, we have partnered with CharityVision to pay for eye surgeries in developing countries. As we continue to grow, we will fund a music program that teaches refugees and kids who struggle with depression and suicide. Each of Eco Lawn’s charitable initiatives come from the passions of our team members. The potential to do good for the world gives us renewed enthusiasm every day.
